The First Date with Anna

THE FIRST DATE WITH ANNA

The first date with Anna happened after 3 years I met Anna. The first time I met Anna was at YMCA at U. of I. Campus on the Wright Street in Urbana, IL during the Chinese Welcome New Students Party. At the first meeting with Anna, I was surprised at her beauty and did not expect to eventually marry her at all because many doctoral students with cars were dating her.

The opportunity of first dating Anna came after I got an invitation from Dr. Rudy Hwa to the custom party for introducing new graduate students. The rules were that I could date any girl of my choice, and we (my date and I) together will choose our customs. Not until I started dating Anna, I found out Rudy was interested in dating Anna himself. However, by the time I discover this fact, it was too late in stopping everything-in-motion. Rudy, after his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, he went on to Michigan State University to get another D.S. in Physic because he considered that his first doctoral degree was not theoretical enuph. Later, in nineteen seventies, he and his English wife visited us in Albuquerque, NM on his way to a small college to become an assistant professor in physics. Afterwards, they begsn to lose touch with us. I do no not where he is or what happevened to him wife.
